Crochet cotton balls

I did not like it, the bumps are too rough for me. It is definitely too rough for the delicate skin around the eyes. But, it definitely feels great. I will try and knit some. That should be much better. On the other hand, the wash cloth was amazing. The texture was perfect for the face and honey. I will knit some cotton balls up and see how it goes.

Speaking of changes

I "think" I am allergic to wheat/grains, I am working very hard to not eat any grains/wheat. It is going pretty well, I was able to only have a few dumplings and a tiny bowl of noodles while I was at our favorite dumping restaurant over the weekend. I have been cutting rice by about 75%. Lunch at work has definitely changed as well. I usually bring the left overs from dinner the night before and call it lunch. For the past couple of days, I have been eating cheese with apples, a hard boiled egg, and salad or a sweet potato fill with some yummy coconut oil. I am feeling much better. I know for sure I cannot eat wheat or transfat. I was in DC a couple of weeks ago and I ate a muffin at the office, I was so sick for the rest of the day that make me truly pick up the effort to quite eating grains.
Let's see how it goes, I will keep trying. But, I WILL have my dumplings here and there. I will not give it up completely.
On the NT side, I stopped making Kimchi for a couple of months and I need to start making that again. I was able to make more chicken broth this weekend. I am planning to make some ox-tail broth tomorrow. I made some beef broth a while back, DH and I got some rice noodles and some thinly sliced beef and made "pho" at home, it was soo good. It is definitely not comparable to the "Pho" i had in the restaurants. I think if I start making it tomorrow, we should have the broth ready by Friday nite or Saturday. DH is going to take EIT this Saturday, I will be all by myself that day until maybe 5 or 6pm.
I am planning to dye more rovings to make more yarn. I haven't have a chance to take a pic of my new yarn, maybe sometime soon.

Computer

Last thursday, I came home from work. After I prep for dinner (DH was at school until 7pm), I happily went to the study and start my computer so I can surf the web and read up on things I like.

Errrhhh.... ERROR on something, so I restart the computer and hoping it will start this time. WRONG. I tried a couple of times and even try starting it in save mode. It was not happening. My first thought was.... Excuse me, what am I supposed to do. I have no clue how to entertain myself without the internet/computer? I know I don't want to knit or spin that nite. I panic for a while seconds, and decided... i can read a book. So, I grab my favorite nourshing tradition.

I think this is so sad, I don't know what else I can do other than starring at a screen.

Speaking of the computer, I got a new one from Costco -- HP with 22 in LCD screen. IT"S AWESOME!!! The screen is bigger than my TV, even better yet, I have a coupon on rebates from Costco and it's 250 off. Yeah.

I am know trying my best to not surf the net for entertaining myself. I am trying my best to do something else. It's difficult but I will try.

Yes No-Poo-ing

Did I not share this?? I have been no-pooing for at least 2-3 or even 4 months now.

Yes, honey for my lovely face. :)
Can't do honey and Baking soda on my face as i have some rash like sympton on my face.
Baking Soda for my lovely hair as shampoo and ACV as a rinse. I gotta use ACV everyday, otherwise my hair is awfully dry.... The outcome is amazing. There are no buildups and my hair is a whole lot easier to style.
Baking soda for the body wash 2 with a touch of Dr B.
Since I am using wax this style my hair, I am really considering coconut oil, I just need to find a weekend that I dare myself to try. I am not going to try on a weekday as I still need to go to the office.

I am also back to my kombucha routine, but the coconut oil is still out there. I need to pick this up, somehow.... Just not getting there yet.
I have also been reducing a WHOLE lot of grain, and I am doing much better, at least I feel much better. Still cutting down on rice, but being a chinese and having chinese food all the time is not making it easy.

That's my update on my no-pooing and food.

Crochet??

You got that right. I was trying to make some cotton balls by crocheting. So, I went to a website that shows how to crochet in a video and here they are. I am not sure why the "square" ones are not square. I probably missed a chain here and there. But I did try very hard to not miss them and it is still getting smaller. So, I decided to try and make a round one without instructions, Hmm..... It is looking very nice. I will probably crochet more and throw them in the washer the next week or so when we are doing laundry. I can't wait to try them and see if they are comparable to the real cotton balls. Oh, the bigger one is for my face.
Since I am only using honey to wash my face, I figured a little bit of texture from the cloth is going to be a good thing. We shall see.
I better start crocheting the round ones. I love how it looks.
