Glass pyrex warning!!

I found a dutch baby pancake recipe on line and decided to try it out. It calls for a pyrex dish in a hot oven and pour the batter into the dish... DO NOT DO THAT! We end up having thousands of tiny pieces of glasses everywhere... My face was right next to the oven because I wanted to watch while DH was pouring the batter in and watch the batter "poof" up and rise. Whew... Luckily, those glasses didn't get to any of us. can you believe it? My face right next to it, and those pieces went the other way! Someone up there is looking after me! THANKS!
Now, the house smells so good from the burned batter and butter... We just can't eat it. But seriously, we were so lucky!
Off to Jamul for local alpacas rovings. :D

One monkey

I got one of my monkey sock done, and working on the other's heel's flap. So, I should be done in a week or so to have any PAIR of socks!
Then, we have the Corazon, this is currently on hold until I am done w/ DH's gloves. But here's a pic. I will probably rib the top part of the gloves up and re-knit it as it seems a little bit too big up front.
Lastly, we got 17 sugar peas for dinner over the weekend. It was so so sweet, and it's from our backyard and ZERO carbon emission on them. (well, except on the seeds and soil) I can't wait for another week to harvest another batch of the sweet pods.

FaceBook and my new book(s)!!

I was bored out of my mind today WFH, and decided to finally work on my face book page. Oh my... I wasted a good few hours on nothing, but it was definitely a good time killer. The lovely UPS guy dropped off the books I ordered from Amazon earlier this week. I am so glad I can finally do something else, and enjoy my book.

This book
was referred to me by my flower essence lady. I viewed the video's on youtube, and this should be a very mind-opening read for me.
There are a few things I learned from it, and have been applying them to my daily lives.

On the spinning end of the spectrum, I will be able to order some fleece locally for a great price. I will be able to visit her farm and meet the alpacas that I will be spinning with. How cool is this.

Some knittings -- well, I have lots of singles that I need to take pics of and post. Completed 1- Corazon, one monkey sock (half way done with the second one), one mitten for DH... I think that's all my active work. I need to find a pattern that I actually like for a sweater, and maybe some knitted things for my parents too. Oh, forgot Dad's hat, that I need to dye and spin more before I can complete... That's looking great though...

Art journaling -- have been doing this almost nightly for the past week. It was lots of fun. I absolutely love GESSO!! I love the idea of doing something and covering it up. I felt I was given a passage to express what I needed to express and once I am done with it, I can cover it up because I don't feel that way anymore.

OK, IOU for pics and off reading... It's so nice today, maybe I should read by the pool later...

Where I've been... Pretty cool app
