Duck GUMBO!!

YUM-MO!!
We used Emeril's Gumbo recipe. It was amazing. Although I haven't had a gumbo ever, but DH said it taste great. We didn't take a pic because it's all brown and not too pretty, plus I was too excited to eat the gumbo. You can always go to the foodtv and look for more gumbo recipe. I would highly recommend Emeril's recipe. The Duck was really expensive at WholeFoods, it was like 26 bucks!! I guess we will try some other recipe next time.

Halibut

DH and I were at Costco and we were being adventours. We bought some Wild halibut... I don't think we have ever cooked with Halibut and it was a disaster. We used Emeril's teriyaki halibut's recipe... The first few bite was really good, and afterwards, it's going South BIG TIME!! DH can't even finish half of what we made. It was that bad...

SARAH

She is home!! Sarah-- my ashford traditional!!! My 5 yo niece name her. Isn't she wonderful. She is sitting in a corner of our living room. Now, if we can only get rid of the organ, then she can have her own corner....
I am constantly comparing Sarah with the Lendrum I tried a month or so ago. I am still thinking that I like the lendrum more. Perhaps it's because of the double treadle. I can't afford to get the double treadle kit for now, maybe in a year or two, I can upgrade her if I still want to have a DT. But I definitely love the look of Sarah. She is so SEXY!! (Yes, I have been using the S word to describe spinning wheels, and DH is learning this word and have been using that on things he love!!)
DH got a new book shelf so I gotta move one of his bookshelf out and it's now where I put my winder, lazy kate and my 54cents niddy noddy. DH made the niddy noddy for me! :) He will also make me my skein winder, but it's in the back burner now as he is taking 2 class this session.... I guess it can wait.

Sweet/Vinegar something

This recipe works for spare ribs, chicken and beef. Just substitute....

Add 2 T oil to saucepan
Add meat. Let it brown...

Sauce:
1 T Wine
2 T Vinegar
3 T Soy Sauce
4 T Sugar
5 T Water

When the meat is about 50% done, add sauce. Simmer... Keep stirring until the sauce thickens.

That's it!! Oh... The sauce is more like a glaze and very shinny....
